Athea GAA

Athea GAA Club wish to send their sincerest sympathies to the family of Penny Woulfe who passed to her eternal reward last week. May she rest in peace.

500 Club Draw:

Tickets are going extremely well for the GAA ‘500 Club Draw’ which will take place at the end of the month with some great prizes. For just €80 or €10 a month you have some good chances of winning one of the prizes. At the same time you will be helping to reduce the pitch and running track debt. Tickets can be got from club members or phone me on 087-1233361.

All players and indeed each exam student is wished all the very best for the week ahead in their exams.

Round 3 of the Intermediate Championship takes place in Ballingarry on Friday evening next June 16th with Athea lining out against Pallasgreen. All support would be more than welcome.

Unfortunately for the Mayo supporters in the parish, especially those who travelled to Galway on Sunday last, their team got beaten by just 1 point against Galway. Hopefully the future will improve for them. Keep those Mayo flags flying in Lower Athea and Dirreen still!
