Mick Mackey Draw:

Many thanks to the loyal Athea subscribers who once again have supported this year’s Limerick Club Development Draw. The first draw is just over, but if you would still like to enter you can do so by contacting Máireád on 087-7703673. A percentage of each ticket goes to the Athea Club and this is a great help once again to reduce the field debt.

Intermediates:

On Saturday last the Div 2 Co. League 2nd round against Adare took place here in Páirc na nGael at 3pm. The pitch was looking fantastic and incidentally many teams are very eager to play on it as the surface is so good.

Unfortunately Adare were the winners on a score of 1-16 to 0-10.

The next outing for the Intermediates is on this Wednesday evening against Abbeyfeale at 6.30pm here at home in the West Intermediate Championship. All support for this game would be greatly appreciated.

Pitch:

The pitch has been cut this past week and is indeed a sight to behold. The parish can be very proud of such a brilliant facility especially for our youth.

There is still some wall space left in the entrance parking area, where you are invited to sponsor your ad for your business, this again is good value for advertising – please contact Máireád on 087-7703673 or Paul on 087-6501673.

Insurances:

It is ‘imperative’ that all those wishing to play football this year must pay their insurance. It is vital as if you get an injury you will not be covered for your medical bills.

Underage players must also register immediately. The cost for one child is €30 for the season, a family is €50 and if any newcomers wish to play this year it’s €20 (please bring your birth cert).
