Our A.G.M. will take place on Saturday night January 28th in the club house at 9pm. All are welcome to attend.

Intermediate Football Championship Draw 2017:

There are two groups of six teams who will contest the Championship.

Group 1: Glin, Claughaun, Mungret, St. Senans Bruff & Galbally.
Group 2: Athea, Cappamore, Pallasgreen, Mountcollins & Castlemahon.

Round 1: Athea v Castlemahon

Round 2: Athea v Cappamore,
Round 3: Athea v Pallasgreen,
Round 4: Athea v Mountcollins,
Round 5: Athea v Gerald Griffins.

Lip Sync Battle:

Each of our fifty participants for our upcoming Lip sync Fundraiser have now been issued with sponsorship cards. The act which receives the most sponsorship will be awarded the ‘Revenue Award’ – the act which went above and beyond to raise money for our local GAA Club! Please get in touch with any of the participants if you would like to help them win this prize! Also, tickets are flying out the door, so get yours quick! for our upcoming Lip Sync Battle Fundraiser which will take places at the Devon Inn Hotel on February 4th. Following an appeal for main sponsors for this magnificent event, we are very lucky to have secured four main sponsors: Athea & District Credit Union, Brown Joes Bar, Allman Contracts Ltd and Mike Hayes Building Contractor. The committee would like to sincerely thank each sponsor for their generosity. We are currently selling full and half page adverts for a special Athea Lip Sync Booklet which will be available on the night. On behalf of the committee, we would like to thank all the participants for coming forward to take to the stage in February. Limerick GAA – Season Ticket 2017
Limerick GAA recently launched their Season Ticket for 2017 with proceeds going towards the Limerick Senior Hurling training & development fund. The tickets cost €100 are now on sale. This would make an ideal present for the GAA fanatic in your household. The season ticket entitles the bearer to free entry to ALL Limerick County Board Club games in 2017, the option to purchase an All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final Ticket (if Limerick Senior Hurling team are involved) & Discounts available from a wide variety of outlets including Elverys, Limerick Greyhound Stadium, JJ Kenneally & Sons Jewellers, Irish Country Hotels, Limerick Race Course & Timmy Mac’s Bistro & more outlets to follow. Cards resumed on Monday night last in Brown Joe’s bar after the Christmas break. The winners with fifteen games were Fr. Duggan, Joe Murphy and Karen Murphy. In second place with thirteen games were Tom O’Connor, John Joe O’Connor and Johnny Hanrahan. The winners of the table prize were John O’Connor, Mary Holland and Ned Holland. The raffle prize winners were Neil Hartnett, Caroline Griffin and Karen Murphy. Many thanks to all those who supported our card game and we would be hoping to see you all again next week at Brown Joe’s bar at 9pm sharp. This is part of the clubs fundraising for the pitch development which to date has cost €130,000. All monies raised will go towards reducing the debt of the pitch development.
