Matches:

U16s:

Our U16s played two matches recently, one against Knockainey and our second away to Ballylanders. Even though we lost both matches our boys put in a big effort especially those who travelled to Ballylanders on Monday evening last. We played Knockainey in Templeglantine and never really got going in this match as the visiting team was much more physical than us and they ran out easy winners in the finish. In Ballylanders our young team played outstanding football for the first half, even though we were short a good number of players these boys stood up to the test from the home side. In the second half we competed very well again but the opposition got a few late goals to win the game. Panel: David O’Sullivan, Joseph Dalton, Shane Ambrose, Pierce O’Brien, David O’Connor, Andy Ahern, Brandon Finucane, TJ White, John Sexton, Jack O’Connor, Cathal O’Brien, Ryan Greaney, Evan Wallace, Aidan Curry, Jack Hunt, Luke Gleeson, Micheál Dalton, Danny Brady, Jason Dillon, Alex McEldowney, Jamie O’Mahony, Gavin Ambrose & Daniel McEldowney.

U12s:

Our U12s played their very first match on the new pitch in Páirc na nGael on Thursday evening last against Claughaun in front of a large crowd. This was a very exciting game of football from start to finish with never more of a kick of a ball between the two teams. Our players got some wonderful scores, played some great team football and put in a mighty effort for the whole match. At the final whistle it was Claughaun who were ahead after scoring a couple of late goals in the game. After a great evening of very entertaining football both teams and supporters enjoyed light refreshments in the Club house afterwards. Team: Shauna Sweeney, Sean Sorohan, Gearoid O’Sullivan, James Lee, James Broderick, Rory O’Mahony, Conor Mullane, Daire O’Shea, Evan Curry, Cillian O’Connor, Calum Gleeson, James Hunt, Michael Walsh & Gavin Mulvihill.
