Ballyhahill parish is covered in flags and posters to celebrate Ben Bett’s achievements with the U20 Rugby Cup team. Though the team was beaten in the final on Saturday night the whole parish and beyond is proud of his hard work and talent at reaching the final. We wish him luck and success in his future career.
Ballyhahill village is looking very well at the moment due to the newly formed, enthusiastic Development Committee members who are busy putting up flower baskets and encouraging house-owners to clean and paint. Great work can be done when a team works together. The proof can be seen in Athea village also.
Congratulations to Pat Kenrick, Clounleharde and Norma McCarthy, Kilcornan, who got married last weekend. We wish them both a happy future together.
Congratulations to the U12 Gerald Griffin’s girls from Loughill/Ballyhahill and Glin who won the county last weekend. A proud moment for the players and their families. Well done.
Most of the schools have their holidays now and “the long, hot summer” begins for them. We live in hope that our sun has not gone away altogether and that they will get a chance to have fun outdoors
It was nice to see David Noonan, Clounleharde and Seán Prendeville, Glenbawn home from Australia for a short visit recently to catch up with family and friends.
It is great to read that Tommy Moran is out of danger and we will continue to pray for his full recovery.
