Athea GAA

Our A.G.M. took place in the Clubhouse on Saturday night last and there was a large crowd in attendance. Chairman Paul Curry welcomed everyone and Secretary Jacqueline O’Connor read out the minutes of last year’s AGM. Jacqueline then gave a very detailed account on the year gone by in her secretary’s report. Our treasurer Maireád Donovan also gave a detailed account in her treasurer’s report. Paul Curry thanked everyone who helped out in the Club during the year. Paul also thanked our ticket sellers, sponsors, ticket buyers, team managers and players.

Both Paul and Jacqueline had a special word of thanks for John Hunt who is stepping down as Chairman of the Coiste na nÓg after dedicating many, many years to the Club and the youth of the parish.    Everyone enjoyed the light refreshments afterwards.
