Michael Meade featured in a lovely article in this year’s County Fleadh Programme. It was compiled by John Healy and it brought back memories of the Meads family group who used to play at Stacks Lounge Bar in Carrigkerry during the 1970s. They were from Glin, and they were popular with the crowd playing all the favourite songs and tunes of the time. A plaque was unveiled in Michael Meade’s honour at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Glin during the recent Fleadh Cheoil.
