U14:

Our U14s travelled to the Bog Garden in Rathkeale on Wednesday evening last to take on the locals in the third round of the league. This was a big challenge for our boys as Rathkeale were very big and physical. We started brightly with everyone giving a hundred percent on the field, but after ten minutes of the match the home side scored a couple of goals to take the lead. We responded well when David O’Connor scored a great goal from a free. Shortly afterwards Jack O’Connor scored a brilliant point after rounding his man, ran thirty yards and tapped the ball over the bar. Rathkeale upped a gear and added more goals and points before half time. In the second half Rathkeale continued to pile on the pressure adding to their score, but we finished strongly with Brian English scoring a great goal and a point. Despite being well beaten the boys played very well and gave it their all for the whole game. Panel: Colin Broderick, Ryan Greaney, Alex McEldowney, Danny Brady, Brian English, Jamie O’Mahony, Thomas McEnery, TJ White, Aidan Curry, Luke Gleeson, Eoin Sheahan, Jack Hunt, David O’Connor, Jack O’Connor, Padraig McMahon, Pauric Enright, Brandon Finucane, Pierce O’Brien & TJ Hunt.
