Peg Prendeville

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Michael Hayes, Glenbawn, son of John and Geraldine, who got married last weekend to Catherine Moore from Ballysteen.

I always admire enterprising people who have the courage to get up and start their own business. So on that note I congratulate Siobhán Ambrose, wife of Johnny Fealy originally from Glenbawn, both now living near London. Johnny is the youngest son of Phil Fealy and has his own construction company. Siobhán, originally from Mountcollins, has a Bachelor of Education degree and has taught in Ireland and England. This year she has set up Timely Education, which is a Teaching Recruitment Agency. She tells me that they currently have long term teaching positions available in London for Primary & Secondary teachers.

So if anybody reading this knows anybody who would like such a position Siobhán can be contacted at the following addresses;

OFFICE: 01462 233940

MOBILE: 07860 775667

EMAIL: [email protected]

Timely Education will help you every step of the way from finding accommodation to opening a bank account to ensure your move is as smooth as possible.  She also has set up an organisation in London called the Irish Teachers Network . ITN can be found on Facebook! It’s a group to support Irish Teachers in the UK and it organises meet ups and social events.

There is a “Pink night” event which is a fundraiser for breast cancer research, coming up on the Nov 14th in the Parish Hall in Ballyhahill. All ladies are invited for a night of fun and entertainment and above all else raising awareness for the prevention of Breast Cancer.  Last year the group raised €2000 and so this year they aim to do better. Tickets are  €10 and can be got on the night or contact Mary @ 0874165422

Killeaney AFC is organising the Annual Social for November 15 in the Knockdown Arms. Awards will be presented on the night. All welcome

Our new PP Fr Austin McNamara will be visiting the sick and housebound on Friday next, the 1st Friday in November.
