The Athea Drama Group AGM took place on 10th September in the village library. The turnout was fantastic with over 25 people in attendance. This is a positive sign for the future of the group.

The chairperson started by thanking all the members for their efforts in what was a very successful year of productions. Special thanks went to the new members of the group who contributed.

The re-election of the officers was decided and Lal Browne will continue as chairperson with Amina Parkes reinstated as treasurer. It was decided that Anne Marie Horgan will continue as secretary with New member Katherine O’Connor assisting. A new Public relations officer (PRO) was also appointed and this position went to Damien Ahern.

The group’s next production will be decided at the next meeting to be held on Monday 22th of September at 8.30pm in the village library. All are welcome to come along even if you have no desire to act there are plenty of backstage roles to get involved in.
