Honour for Pat Brosnan

Pat BrosnanPat Brosnan celebrated his birthday in style on Sunday last when he was honoured by the West Limerick Singing Club as part of the Gary McMahon Festival in Abbeyfeale. The event, attended by a huge crowd, took place at the Fr. Casey’s G.A.A. Clubhouse.  Pat was presented with a beautifully engraved slate by his good friend Donie Nolan after which Domhnall de Barra gave a talk on Pat’s life, works and achievements.

A birthday cake was produced and then the entertainment began with many of his good friends and family paying tribute to his  long list of accomplishments. His nephew, the famous box player, John Brosnan from Kilcummin also played a few tunes. After about three hours of non-stop entertainment we all said goodbye to Pat and we hope he continues with his writings for a long time to come.
