The Ardagh/Carrigkerry Parish Accounts for 2012 was made available recently in both churches for inspection. The total income was in excess of expenditure which is always a nice situation to be in. The weekly envelope collection is the main income, and it continues to hold up well despite the number of households ceasing to pay. The Diocesan Needs collection has fallen well short and has to be topped up out of parish finances to reach its target. The Parish Mission held during 2012 reported a loss of €2,000. The closing balance at 31st December 2012 shows the parish finances in a healthy state and well done to Fr Madden, and the finance committee, for this.
