WEST LIMERICK RESOURCES
West Limerick Resources was founded in 1993 with the aim of creating jobs in West Limerick and to disperse funding to local organisations and companies. From our clubs perspective we are delighted to be involved with West Limerick Resources. They launched The Rural Social Scheme (RSS) in 2004 which provides part time flexible employment opportunities and we have been lucky enough that in the intervening years to have people employed on The RSS at our grounds at The Vales. Noel Shields, Mike Woods and Ned White have been and are currently on the RSS and there is no doubt that our facilities have been greatly enhanced by the excellent work carried out by them, from maintaining the pitches, lining them for all our numerous matches down through the years, maintaining the roadside area as well as the clubhouse interior. We thank them also for assisting when we hosted the Soccer Camps. A big, big thanks to Tom O’Connor who did trojan work and put in long hours at The Vales and his dedication to detail was instrumental in getting to where we are today. Thanks also to West Limerick Resources supervisors Barry Connolly and Tom Wilmoth who we have dealing with at a local level and we very much look forward to liaising with them long into the future.
In essence the contribution made by West Limerick Resources since its foundation in creating employment/training etc at various levels has been invaluable and the future of the company is vital. We at Athea Utd are extremely lucky and grateful that for the past seven years we have the RSS available to us and we thank West Limerick Resources for selecting us as one of their locations and we very much look forward with working with them long into the future.
SYMPATHY

The club wishes to extend its sympathy to Tom O’Connor and family on the recent death of his aunt Margaret Mangan, Glensharrold, Carrigkerry. May She Rest In Peace.
