Eflow SOCCER SCHOOL OUTSTANDING SUCCESS
Last week we hosted the 2013 Eflow Summer Soccer School at our splendidly laid out grounds at The Vales. This year we had 65 participants on the camp which is a good bit up on the 2012 numbers and the consensus of everybody involved was that it was another hugely successful camp while all the groups also made use of our excellent astroturf pitch and this was very well received by all of the participants.
With high numbers this year we had four coaches under the supervision of Head Coach Ed Gallagher with the coaches being Megan Carroll, Maurice Carrig, Sean Fennessy and Cian Shorten and all struck up a very good rapport with the kids. Needless to say they are all eagerly looking forward to the 2014 camp.
JERSEYS
All underage managers are asked to return all playing jerseys from last season to Tim O’Riordan as soon as possible.
2013/2014 SEASON
We are now making plans for the 2013/14 season. The club, where it can cater for players, will be entering teams in the various underage divisions for next season. With this in mind the club are interested in persons interested in managing teams that the club will be catering for and entering in the LDSL for next season. Persons interested in being managers or indeed helping out in any way are asked to contact any member of the committee

Monday July 22:
U14:
Our U14’s played Killeedy in Páirc na nGael on Wednesday evening last. It was a wet and showery evening but our lads made light work of it recording a great win on the night. A powerful performance from start to finish with everyone giving a hundred percent. Sean Ryan was first on the score sheet with a point and was soon followed by a Brian Sheehan goal. The pair repeated the scoring with a goal and a point before John Sexton and David Sheahan both added points for Athea, Timothy Tierney pulled of a great save but could do nothing about the goal Killeedy got, but this was cancelled out when Alan Kelly scored a goal just before half time. The second half was much the same with Athea the better team in all areas of the field. The midfield pairing of Micheál Ambrose and Alan Kelly were dominant. Our backs of David O’ Sullivan, Micheál Dalton and Joseph Dalton had very little to do but what ever came their way they dealt with it easily setting up many attacks for our mid-field and forwards. John Sexton and Alan Kelly both pointed before Jack O’ Connor scored a goal after a great pass from Alex McEldowney. Brian Sheahan and Timothy Tierney both rose the white flag and shortly afterwards Brian got his third goal of the match. Killeedy threatened now and then but Shane Ambrose, Liam McAuliffe and Cillian Liston were in top form and kept them out with ease. We scored further points towards the end with Liam McAuliffe, David Sheahan and Alan Kelly all on target. This win means we have now qualified for the Shield semi-final which will be played in the coming weeks so it is important as many players as possible come to training in preparation for this.
Team: Timothy Tierney, Joseph Dalton, Micheál Dalton, David O’Sullivan, Shane Ambrose, Liam McAuliffe, Cillian Liston, Micheál Ambrose, Alan Kelly, John Sexton, Sean Ryan, David Sheahan, Alex McEldowney, Brian Sheahan & Jack O’Connor,
