County:

Limerick Senior footballers suffered their first defeat of the league campaign after losing out to Tipperary in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday evening last. Limerick started brightly and were 3 points up after 10 minutes of play. but Tipperary soon took control and led at half time by 2 points. In the second half the opposition continued to dominate and despite 2 great points by Eoghan O’Connor Limerick lost out on a score line of Limerick 0-9 Tipperary 0-15. Limericks cause wasn’t helped by the fact that they missed 2 penalties, one in either half. Over all this was a poor performance and they will have to improve as they travel to Ruislip to take on London next weekend.
