U8 Friendly (February 16th)
Athea Utd    (2) 3    Callum Buckley, James Hunt, Evan Curry

Carrig Cel    (1) 4

Last Saturday our eights hosted Carrig Celtic in a friendly which was played on our astro pitch. We started brightly and were on top in the early and we were rewarded for this with an early goal from Callum Buckley. Not long after Carrig equalized but just before half time a fine goal from James Hunt had us ahead at half time. The play was end to end at the start of the second half but two quick fire goals had Carrig ahead. The Athea team responded with a quality goal from Evan Curry to leave the sides all square at three goals each. With the game in the final minute Carrig scored the winner. Nevertheless a good game and a great one to watch with both sides giving their all from start to finish. Well done to both teams.
