Trad for Trócaire
Photo of Athea Wrenboys who visited the pubs in Athea on Saturday night last in conjunction with Athea Comhaltas branch to raise funds for the Trad for Trócaire campaign. A total of €380 was collected on the night. A cheque for €400 has been forwarded to Trócaire by Athea CCE. Well done to the Wrenboys and all who supported this fundraiser.

It’s that time of the year again when we ask all clubs, organisations and individuals to please submit their contributions for the journal. Where at all possible we ask that all material be e-mailed ([email protected]) or sent on disk to facilitate early publication of journal. Photos can be dropped in to the office at C.D. Printing, The deadline for receipt of material is October 31st.
IRISH RAMBLING HOUSE CONCERT:
The Irish Rambling House will stage a show at St. John’s Theatre, Listowel on Sunday, October 14 at 8pm. This show will feature the very best of Irish traditional music, song, dance and storytelling with a strong emphasis on humour. For bookings contact St. John’s at 068 22566. The twenty one member group will head across the Irish Sea on November 1 to entertain the exiles in Birmingham, Haringey, Harrow & Derby. As always entertainers from Limerick feature strongly and they include Daren and Chrissie Roche from Castlemahon, Doris Shire from Mungret, Ken Brown from Kilmeady, Seán O’Meara from Caherconlish and Margaret Madigan from Ballyguiltenane.
