SOCCER CAMP 2012
Last week we hosted the 2012 Eflow Summer Soccer School at our splendidly laid out grounds at The Vales. The overall consensus of everybody involved was that it was another hugh success while all the groups also made use of the synthetic pitch and this was very well received by all of the participants.
All the kids enjoyed the week learning the skills of the game in a friendly and fun environment and also making new friends in the process.
Head Coach for the week was Conor Nestor with the coaches being Maurice Hayes and Aisling Russell who all struck up a very good rapport with the kids. Needless to say they are all eagerly looking forward to 2013.

Athea U8's who took part in a Blitz in Mick Neville Park last weekend

Athea Coiste na nÓg

Matches:

U8’s:

Our U8’s took part in a very successful  Blitz in Mick Neville park on a wet Saturday morning last. They did extremely well against the three teams they played, Fr. Casey’s, St. Kieran’s and Askeaton. Each and everyone of them gave a 100% in the matches, you could see the determination written on their faces as they challenged and chased for every ball that came their way. They also scored some fantastic goals and points throughout the Blitz along with a fine display of catching, kicking and passing. The coaches were very proud of how they all played and now look forward to our next Blitz at the end of the month.

Panel: Daire O’ Shea, James Lee, Callum Buckley, Gavin Mulvihill, Evan Curry, Dylan Steward, Gearóid Ó Sullivan, Conor Mullane, Michael Walsh & Calum Glesson.
