Congratulations and best wishes to John Enright, Skehanagh, Ardagh and Lisa Dunworth Newcastle West, who were married in Monagea Church on Friday 27th April. The ceremony was performed by family relative, Canon Willie Fitzmaurice, from Killeedy and Kilmallock Parish. The Reception was held at Ballyseedy Castle, Tralee, County Kerry.
Congratulations and best wishes to Aidan O’Grady formally of Knockfinisk, Carrigkerry and Jennie Mc Cormack of Swords, County Dublin, who were married at the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnell, on Saturday 28th April. The ceremony was performed by Fr Jerry Carroll, and the Reception was held at Trim Castle Hotel, County Meath.

Carrig Celtic B defeated Ferry Rangers over two legs on penalties (3-0) to qualify for the Division 3 League Cup Final. They won 2-0 at home on Friday 27th April and lost 2-0 away after extra time on the following Sunday. They will meet Ballysteen or Glin Rovers B in the
final at Clounreask Askeaton, on Saturday 12th May at 7.30pm. We
extend good wishes to all involved and hope they bring home the silverware. Kilcolman Rovers lost 1-0 at home to Kilcornan in Division 2 on Friday 27th April and are relegated to Division 3 for next year. Carrig Celtic and Old Mill had no fixtures

Saint Kieran’s defeated Galbally by 0-9 to 0-6 in Round 1 of the County Limerick Senior Football Championship at windswept O’Carroll Park, Ballyagran on Saturday 28th April. In one of their better performances in recent years, they were deserving winners, and should
have won by a wider margin. They dominated possession in the opening
half playing into the Village goals, but missed chances saw them trail by 4pts to 3 pts at the short whistle. The second half was more even, and the team took their scoring chances, to edge in front and claim victory and the two points on offer. TEAM: Tommy Quinn, John O’Connor,

The death has taken place of Mary Ann Collins, New Strand House, Ennis Road, Limerick, late of Park, Ballyhahill. She was from a family of seven, and she attended  Clounleharde National School. She liked music and singing and she will be sadly missed by family relations and her friends in Limerick. Her remains reposed in Madigan’s Funeral Home,
Shanagolden from 6.30pm Wednesday evening last, followed by removal to
Saint Colman’s Church Kilcolman. Fr Denis Mullane celebrated her funeral Mass, with family members participating in the ceremony. Burial took place in the local Cemetery on Thursday 3rd May. We extend our sympathy to her brothers George in Adare, Michael in Park and her sister Margaret and other extended family members, at home and in England, relatives and friends. May she rest in Peace.
Saint Kieran’s Board Na Nóg is holding their annual church gate collections, in Ardagh, Coolcappa and Kilcolman on Saturday/Sunday 19th/20th May. The club would like to thank all who supported the collection in Carrigkerry on Sunday last 6th May.
Saint Kieran’s are holding a dog night at the Limerick Greyhound Stadium, on Friday 8th June.  The members are currently seeking financial support for the event, which is a fundraiser for the club. It will cost €50 to nominate a dog in the Johnny Duggan Memorial
Sweepstake and the winning nominator will receive a prize of €200.
Admission Tickets to the event plus a race card cost €10 and one lucky person will win €500 by matching the finishing order winning number. Raffle Prizes will also be most welcome for the monster Raffle on the night. People who contribute sponsorship will be acknowledged.
