Thursday 8th of March:
U14’s:
Athea 0-4 Adare 3-0
Athea U14’s travelled to Adare on Thursday evening last to take on the locals in the replay of the Feile Peile “B” competition. We got off to the brighter start when William Sexton got Athea’s first point. Soon after, Adare scored two quick goals to leave the score at half time Athea 0-1 to Adare 2-0. In the second half, Athea took the game more to Adare with three great points coming from William Sexton, JJ Sheehy and Ronan Hayes, we were unlucky not to score a couple of more when we hit the post twice in the second half. But then a late Adare goal dashed any hopes of Athea coming back. The final score was Athea 0-4, Adare 3-0. We would like to thank all those who travelled to Adare to support the team.
