Monagea Information Afternoon.

An information afternoon will take place in the Rambling House in Strand, Monagea between 2:30pm and 4:30 pm on Wednesday March 23rd. Visitors can access: Citizen’s Information; the Job’s Club; Education and Training information; the Rural Employment Scheme; the Rural Development Programme; information on moving ‘Towards Occupation’; and the Volunteer Support Service. Light refreshments included.

Abbey Heritage Project (LTI)

The Abbey Heritage Project Ltd, a community based group is seeking expressions of interest from people who would like to participate on a proposed Local Training Initiative (LTI) which will be based in Abbeyfeale. The L.T.I intends to deliver a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Radio Production. This will involve 8 FETAC modules including Communications, Radio Programme Production, Business Administration and Broadcast Journalism to name a few. The programme will be full time over a 35 week period. If you are between 16 & 35 years, or have less than Leaving Certificate or did not go to college and would like an opportunity to gain new learning and skills in this field then we would love to hear from you. This programme will also provide support for those experiencing difficulties accessing labour market or other education programmes. Tournafulla Parent &oddler Group

Starting Thursday April 7th

If you are interested in joining a new Parent & Toddler group which will operate in Tournafulla hall one morning per week, then please contact Dearbhla (Mon – Thurs) on 068 32444. Funding though West Limerick Resources has been secured to run the following FREE 6 week programme looking at areas such as 1) Running a Parent and Toddler Group, 2) Understanding Children’s Behaviour, 3) Importance of Play, 4) Imaginative Play, 5) Creative Play and Open ended Materials, 6) Block Play. This is open to Parents, Grandparents & Toddlers from the wider community, all are welcome.

Big Thank You

A word of thanks is being extended to all who supported the Church gate collection for the Rape Crisis Centre which took place at all Masses here in Abbeyfeale on the weekend of March 12th & 13th.  Thank you to all who volunteered at the gates and to all who donated to this very worthy service.
