Sympathy:

The club wish to offer sincere sympathy to Derek Byrne of Gortnagross and his family on the death of his father Joe last week in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. ‘May the light of heaven be his’.

Intermediate Championship:

The first round of the Intermediate Championship will take place on this Friday 21st April against Castlemahon in Tournafulla t 7pm. All support would be welcome.

U16s Div. 3:

The U16s meet South Liberties on Monday, April 24th at Dooley park at 5.15pm.

Junior B League:

Athea meet St. Kieran’s in Coolcappagh on Tuesday, April 25th at 6.30pm in the Junior B League Round 2.

Intermediate Championship Round 2:

Athea vs Cappamore on April 27th in a location and time to be confirmed.

Rás na Mumhan:

‘Pairc na nGael’ was the hive of excitement and activity on Saturday last when the cyclists, weary after their hard trek, finished their stage 2 to a very welcome refreshments treat served up by Coleen Reidy and other helpers. The area from the hall up to the pitch had many onlookers all cheering the cyclists on. Paul Kennedy of NewcastleWest was presented with his prize there –  well done to all who helped out on the day.

Junior B:

Match last week against Rathkeale. Neilus Hunt, Morgan O’Connor and Roger Ryan are managing the team this year

West Minor A Championship:

Athea/Mountcillins Minors v St. Kieran’s this Friday in Coolcappagh. Time to be confirmed.

FAI KICK START 1

Athea Utd are delighted to announce that the FAI will be running a Kick Start 1 coaching course here at The Vales on Saturday, April 29th. FAI Development Officer Barry McGann will be taking the course which will last the full Saturday. All our managers/coaches, junior players as others within the club who would like to do the course should contact club secretary Pat Mulvihill on 0877934417.

FAI SOCCER CAMP 2017

Athea Utd are delighted to announce that we will again be running a SportsDirect.com FAI Soccer Camp this year. The camp will take place at The Vales from Monday, July 24th to Friday, July 28th and is open to boys and girls of all abilities from 6-14 years of age.
There will be more details available over the coming weeks.
